This six-syllabled Sanskrit mantra is spoken in order to transform one’s impure body, speech, and mind into the pure body, speech, and mind of Buddha. These mantras are written on the prayer flags that hang from Buddhist places like the Boudhanath Stupa pictured here in Kathmandu, Nepal. One of the largest stupas in the world, the all-seeing eyes face every direction watching over the city as a figure of peace.
