The Sri Harmandir Sahib Temple in Amritsar, Punjab is one of the most sacred pilgrim locations for Sikhs from around the world. It is built entirely out of 24-karat gold. The temple serves free, daily hot meals, called langar, to people of all religions from anywhere on Earth. Around 100,000 people are fed every single day.
My favorite part of the temple, however, was watching the bathing Sikh men. Only Sikhs are permitted to float in the holy waters.
