Damn… right? This is the Adiyogi Shiva statue of the Hindu god Shiva the destroyer. I found out about this new statue finished in February of 2017 located outside of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and had to go see it. It is 112 feet high built entirely out of steel. Shiva is one of Hinduism’s most important gods so the statue gets a ton of traffic year round. I was lucky to see it after a storm had passed so there was an eerie, powerful energy in the air.
