He created this marble masterpiece to honor his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is made entirely out of white marble, one of the strongest marbles in the world - all brought from Rajasthan on elephants during the 1600’s. The Mughal empire was Muslim, Jahan was born in Lahore, Pakistan.
