From a balcony on the St. George’s School in Kolkata, India, these students caught a glimpse of 13-year-old awkward, white, blonde, me. Back home in Jr. High at that time, no 8th-grade boys gave me the time of day. I’ve never felt like more of a celebrity in my life than when we stayed at this school in Kolkata.
