Teotihuacan: an archaeological complex found 30 miles outside of modern day Mexico City that is predicted to have been settled around 400 BC. It is home to the Pyramid of the Sun, the 2nd tallest pyramid in the world. With an advanced social hierarchy, this place once ruled ancient Mesoamerica. Human and animal sacrifice was a common practice for Teotihuacanos and the road called the avenue of death is where many of these deaths occured.
